Nickel-Cadmium batteries are infrequently used by residents and are popular in airline and industrial applications. This is because of their high durability and unique ability to function at intense temperatures. This type of battery needs low amounts of maintenance compared to other types.
Flow batteries depend on chemical reactions. This type of battery offers high efficiency and has a low energy density. As the tanks containing the electrolyte liquid have to be large to store a substantial amount of energy, it is a costly and impractical option for most household use. So, flow batteries are suitable for larger spaces.
